WELCOME TO GREENFIELD ELEMENTARY LIBRARY!
My name is Sarah Duran. This is my first year at Greenfield Elementary and I am loving it!
I graduated from A.S.U. in elementary education. I have been teaching K and 1st grade for the last 13 years and received my media specialist endorsement last year.
Students will receive a bar code from the library to be placed on a their folder or binder. This will serve as the student's hall pass and library card. Students are expected to bring this with them to Library class and Open Checkout.
Students may checkout two-three items at a time depending on grade level and return history.
Items are checked out for one week. Items may be renewed if brought back to the library. Students with items more than one month overdue may not check out additional items.
If a book is damaged or lost please notify the library immediately. If the book cannot be repaired or is lost the parent will receive a notice of replacement cost.
Replacement fees must be paid before the student may check out additional items.
Kindergarten - 4th grade students attend 40 minute library classes once a week. 5th and 6th grade General Music students attend 40 minute library classes once a week. Class lessons are aligned to the Common Core Standards and supplement regular classroom instruction.
