Welcome back to Greenfield Elementary for the 2016/17 school year as a 4th Gator. We have so much planned for you all to learn and experience.
This will be my 16th year at Greenfield. I have taught 3rd, 5th, 6th and now this my third year in 4th grade. Both of my children attended Greenfield, and as a mom, I was so happy for them to have a wonderful experience in elementary school.
I'm so excited to be entering a new year with the 4th grade curriculum. We will be learning place value, multiplying, dividing, algebra, doing multistep word problems and so much more.
We will learn about AZ History and tour the state capitol. We get to do projects for Native American Day, go on an all day hike in the Superstition Mountains and do a Famous Arizonans Project. We also have an All American Day making all sorts of fun projects. The last two years, we even tye-dyed t-shirts.
Our literature studies include fiction, nonfiction and a very heartfelt historical fiction story.
The cool part of science is that we learn about land and water, but the most fun of all is is electricity and magnetism.
Fourth grade also has Zoology Club. We get to learn about desert animals, Game and Fish bring live animals to school, and we have the option to stay overnight at the ZOO. Now that's cool!!
There is so much more. You'll just have to come to school every day to find out all the wonderful and exciting things that are planned.
